CAT Tools
CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation) are software programs used by translators while they work. They speed up the translation process by suggesting similar or identical sentences stored in a database, which is gradually enriched with the specific vocabulary used by each customer. This ensures uniformity of terminology and, as a result, the quality of the translated texts — while also helping customers save money by reusing previously translated phrases.
Our translators are experienced with the most popular CAT tools on the market, including Déjà Vu, SDL Trados, STAR Transit and Wordfast.
Computer-assisted translation is sometimes confused with Automated or “Machine Translation” — a fully automatic translation system requiring very limited human intervention, commonly known as “post-editing translation.”
Desktop Publishing (DTP)
Desktop Publishing (DTP) is the creation, layout and production of printed material using graphics software. Many Asian languages, such as Persian, require special programs for viewing their fonts, and manuals in right-to-left (RTL) languages need their layout localized and fully mirrored — pages, design elements and tables included — since the documents are read from right to left.
This requires careful work by a graphic designer who understands both the language and the correct kind of layout. Our graphic designers are experienced in the layout of manuals and brochures in both Oriental (RTL) and Western (LTR) languages, using the most common DTP programs, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and QuarkXPress.

Localizations
In a “localization” or “globalization” project, a product such as a piece of software or a brochure is adapted for a specific country, region or customer.
In other words, translation is only part of the process: graphic elements are adapted too — colors, photographs, display characteristics, font type and size — all to ensure that the product feels as though it was designed and originally developed for the market it is intended for.
Interpreting
Negotiation interpreting: for business meetings, contract signings, sports events, trade fairs, and visits to factories and companies.
Conference interpreting: for conferences, conventions and international summits, provided either simultaneously or consecutively. Simultaneous interpretation takes place at the same time as the original speech, while consecutive interpretation is carried out after the speaker has finished, in full or in part.
